ePortfolio
ePortfolio allows students to upload files of all types (with the exception of executable files or similar) in order to submit work electronically to their teachers. Students can associate each file with individual criteria and tasks that have been set for them. Members of staff can access the shared files in order to provide feedback and grade work as required.
The system also allows, where applicable, access for External and Internal Verifiers so that they can look at and verify work that has been completed and committed to an assessment criterion. This feature can work with a large number of course types, including BTEC, NVQ and A Level, even though there is no EV process as such. It is important that our ePortfolio works with all course types.
ePortfolio comprises not only of files and folders, but also of blogs, a log for enrichment activities and trips, and an automatic CV generator. Students have full control over the ePortfolio system, choosing which content within it is exported to different members of staff.
The system bolts on the side of eTracker and pulls all data from eTracker including the individual assessment criteria for each unit, so that each student can associate their files and other assets with them as evidence of achievement.
ePortfolio is a web based application that integrates with eTracker. It can also be used as a standalone application where eTracker is not installed.
It pulls in data from the college MIS database and authenticates against the college login network set up, so no separate user name and password shall be needed.
All activities within ePortfolio shall be logged in the audit trail system.
